Our Site is hosted on Wix.com Ltd. ("Wix"). Wix processes certain data on our behalf as described below.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you fill out a form, request an appointment, subscribe to updates, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Notes you provide about your hair, service preferences, or reason for contacting us

  • Any other information you choose to share in a message

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, Wix and our analytics tools may automatically collect:

  • IP address and general location (city/region)

  • Pages viewed, referring website, and time spent on the Site

  • Cookie and similar tracking identifiers

Information from bookings and payments

If you book or pay through the Site, Wix Bookings and/or Wix Payments (or another payment processor we use) collects the information needed to process that transaction, such as service selection, appointment time, and payment details. We do not store your full payment card information on our systems - it is handled by the payment processor.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

  • Schedule, confirm, remind you of, and manage your appointments

  • Send appointment reminders, follow-ups, and (if you opt in) marketing emails or texts

By submitting a form, requesting an appointment, or otherwise providing your contact information through the Site, you agree that we may contact you for business-related communications (such as appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and service updates) by email, phone, or text.

  • Social & marketing cookies - set when the Site embeds or links to third-party platforms we use, including Facebook / Instagram, Google, YouTube, and Pinterest. These may be used to show relevant ads on those platforms. 

You can control cookies through your browser settings or, where available, through the cookie banner on the Site. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

5. How we share your information

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site and business — for example, Wix (hosting, forms, bookings, analytics), our payment processor, our email/SMS platform, and appointment reminder tools.

  • Third-party platforms we use for marketing and content — including Facebook / Instagram (Meta), Google, YouTube, and Pinterest. When you interact with our content on those platforms, or with embedded content from them on our Site, those companies collect information under their own privacy policies.

  • Legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bon Cheveux, our clients, or others.

  • Business transfers — if Bon Cheveux is ever sold or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

6. Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in to receive text messages from us (for example, appointment reminders or promotions), message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to book services.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Client records may be retained to provide continuity of service for return visits.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Wix maintains its own security program for the platform and payment processing. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted through the Site.

9. Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions)

  • Opt out of marketing messages

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, our Instagram or Google Maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies before providing information.
